Cast Iron Repair

Cast iron is hard, brittle and heartbreaking to repair when done wrong. It cracks from the heat of welding, and a quick fix can break again beside the repair. Done carefully, though, many cast iron pieces can be saved.

We repair cast iron across Nashville and Middle Tennessee, including fence and gate parts, posts, machinery, stoves and antiques. We identify the piece, preheat when needed, choose welding or brazing as appropriate and cool the work slowly to reduce cracking.
